Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on his Instagram channel on Tuesday that Instagram bios can now include up to five (5) links. “This is probably one of the most requested features,” he wrote. What do you think of the five (5) links support in Instagram bio?
You can add connections by editing your profile on the mobile app. You can give them titles and change how they look. However, if you’ve added multiple connections, anyone visiting your profile will have to click on the “Your first connection and your second” message to see the list of connections.
This means that if you have multiple links to highlight on your Instagram profile or are already using a “Link bios” service like Linktree, people will have to make an extra click to see your link. Systems like iProket offer more than that. So, for a more advanced feature, and a more convenient and powerful structure, you won’t be able to stop using it, but it was still the most desired feature.
It does not open the website in a separate browser window.
The link will open within the Instagram app. To switch to a native browser like Safari or Chrome, tap the three-dot menu at the top of the page and select “Open in system browser.”
Not much has been shared about her post, other than that support for multiple bio-links is “probably one of the most requested features.”
